Throw in the fact that land is mostly marshy, the high and low tides change the place time to time, patrolling is very very difficult and the area is infiltrated with alligators (I'm not sure of this but iirc I've read this somewhere)

We (by and large) have short memories. Op Sindhoor was a brief interruption in our regular entertainment of Bollywood and cricket. Apart from the services fraternity who know what war involves, the public are mostly keyboard warriors who won't serve a day in uniform if asked.   
  
The PM knows our sentiment only too well, that's why his address to the nation was at 5pm not 8. The BCCI also knows that we are more interested in cricket, than outrage over playing Pak.
